The King is dead
I've changed both the name and the focus of this newsletter.
12 Products 12 Months is no more.
I created this substack a few months ago and posted about all sorts of things in all sorts of schedules. It started as a way to log my journey of creating 12 products in 12 months. I've learned a lot and I did not ship 12 products.
There are infinite articles on the internet that talk about failure. This won't be another.
I've decided to definitely, unquestionably, remorselessly kill the 12 Products 12 Months goal. I was not really moving towards it and other more interesting quests came up. They are more in tune with who I am and deserve my attention.
12 Products in 12 Months was about forging myself into someone very different.
12 Products in 12 Months was me thinking that the things I already do really well were not enough.
12 Products in 12 Months was me, convincing myself that I needed to learn completely new things.
It was about being broad and not about drilling down into my strengths. In other words, it was a borrowed goal.
Long live the King
I now have a clarity and self-acceptance I did not have before.
I will work helping very experienced professionals turn their knowledge (sometimes abstract or too complex for beginners) into products. Products like workshops, games and visual frameworks.
From now on, I will write about these things. All of them related to the business of making money from your mind. If you're curious, you can even take a peek at my website, where I explain this better: JoaoLandeiro.com
Do you want to stay?
I will not write about:
A myriad different little projects (e.g. Gratitude Jar, PM cardgame)
Really weird reflections (currently on the “Inner Game” tab)
I will write about:
Workshop techniques
How to translate abstract expertise into tangible experience
On occasion, how to launch small things that make sense for an expert (e.g. games, visual frameworks, courses, etc)
If you started following me hoping for a behind the scenes view of someone soloing 12 Products in a year, you might have no more reason to receive my emails.
I completely understand if you unsubscribe.
If you decide to keep getting my emails, you don't have to do anything. Just vibe.
